  21. Most modern 28.8 voice modems have poor voice quality. They tend to
  22. sacrifice voice quality for storage space (the use 4 bit, low rate
  23. sampling, etc). For good Voice quality we (and many happy users and
  24. developers) would recommend the NSC TYIN2000 and TYIN4000 DSP modems
  25. (a bit old but great Voice and FAX, albeit 14.4kbps max DATA). They
  26. deliver 8KHz, 8bit voice announcements, compared with 4800Hz, 4 bit
  27. popular today...
